Oklahoma State's Katarina Adamovic advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tennis Individual Championships with a, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory against Sydney Campbell of Vanderbilt at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Wednesday.
"I just need to grind it out with matches like this with big stakes and every match is against a good opponent, you just have to fight against all odds and don't think about fatigue," Adamovic said.
The Cowgirl, who earned Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Championship, battled through three sets to advance to the round of 32 after playing in the national title match on Tuesday.
After Campbell took the first set, 6-2, Adamovic battled back by winning the first four games of the second set.
